My TTC Journey

July 14, 2006- Married the love of my life :)

July 2006-July 2009- Avoided pregnancy until we could financially afford it without moving back in with my parents or in-laws

July 15, 2009- Started TTC! One of my happiest days ever :)

September 2009- Start taking 100mg Vitamin B6 to help with short luteal phase

February 2010- Email CCL six charts of TTC to see if they can help or offer advice. Start taking Mucinex.

March 2010- I submit 6 charts of TTC to CCL for help and advice. CCL wants us to stop drinking alcohol altogether (which I don't do after I ovulate anyway), de-stress by quitting my job as a 4th grade teacher (but she's not offering to help pay the mortgage) so I can learn to garden and cook, eat more meat (DH is a vegetarian and the primary cook, so I mostly eat vegetarian as well), and postpone TTC for at least six months, maybe longer, to prepare nutritionally and possibly de-stress from my job (we've already been TTC for 7 months). I ignore her advice. No way I'm stopping TTC.

April 2010- Contact Dr. C and make an appt for June 16, 2010

June 16, 2010- First appt with Dr. C. It went great!

June 29, 2010- Bloodwork came back fine, minus progesterone levels. They were low, showing that I didn't ovulate.

July 7, 2010- SFA came back normal!

July 15, 2010- 1 year of TTC

July 19, 2010- Diagnosed with oligomenorrhea because I only had 10 cycles of TTC this past year instead of the "normal" 13 cycles in a year.

August 16-20, 2010- 100mg Clomiphene

August 24, 2010- My first ever ultrasound discovers 2 maturing follicles! One is on my right ovary that is 19mm and one on my left ovary that is 15mm. No conception.

September 15-19, 2010- 100mg Clomiphene. No ultrasound this cycle to check for mature follicles. No conception.

October 2010- No Clomiphene this cycle because Dr. C found excess fluid in my abdomen (twice as large as my uterus).

November 15-19, 2010- 2.5 mg Femara

November 23, 2010- My body doesn't respond to Femara. One ovary has an 8mm follicle, and the other has multiple undeveloped follicles. Diagnosed with PCOS. Starting 1500 mg Metformin.

December 3, 2010- Progesterone level is 1.5, confirming anovulatory cycle
